Central Pattaya Thai Pub raided by District Licensing Officers
Just after 5.30am on Sunday, Banglamung District Licensing Officers, conducted a raid of a Thai Pub which was thought to be open and serving underage patrons.
Khun Sakchai, the Chief of Banglamung District and over 40 officers converged on the Zeeds Pub off Soi Buakhao and noticed the venue was still open and many patrons were inside.
Checks on all staff and patrons took place and 24 people inside the venue were found to be under the age of 18, consisting of 17 boys and 7 girls. Random drug tests took place and 1 man and 3 women failed a presumptive urine test which indicated the presence of methamphetamine in their bodies.
The manager of the venue, Khun Wichai aged 25 was arrested and further charged with opening the venue after its licensed operating hours. A report of the raid will be sent to the Governor of Chonburi Province who will likely impose a lengthy closure order on the venue.
