The Open 2014: Rory McIlroy sets sights on Masters and dominance

Rory McIlroy hopes to "dominate" golf and emulate the success of Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods after his Open Championship success.
two-shot victory at Royal Liverpool added the Claret Jug to McIlroy's2011 US Open and 2012 PGA Championship wins.
"I feel like there's a lot more left in me," said the 25-year-old, who is "confident" of completing a Grand Slam of majors at the Masters in April.
"I want be to be the guy that goes on and wins majors regularly."

Asked if he could replicate the 18 Grand Slam wins Nicklaus amassed and the success of 14-time major winner Woods, McIlroy replied: "I definitely hope so.
"Golf is looking for someone to put their hand up and try to dominate and I want to be that person."
The Northern Irishman's dominance at Hoylake in the third round saw him build a six-shot cushion before a final day where challengers Rickie Fowler and Sergio Garcia could never reduce the deficit to less than two strokes.
Two rounds of 66 and a 68 ahead of Sunday showed consistency which contrasted his Open form of 2013, where he missed the cut at Muirfield and described his play as "brain dead".

MH17 Malaysia plane crash in Ukraine: What we know

All 298 people on board a Malaysia Airlines plane have died after the airliner crashed in eastern Ukraine, close to the border with Russia.
Flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was travelling over the conflict-hit region when it disappeared from radar. A total of 283 passengers, including 80 children, and 15 crew members were on board.

What type of plane was it?
The crashed plane was a Boeing 777-200ER, the same model as Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared while travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing in March.
The aircraft, manufactured in 1997, had a clean maintenance record and its last check was on 11 July, Malaysia Airlines said.
Malaysia's prime minister said there was no distress call before the plane went down.

Lost contact: 14:15 GMT at 10,000m (33,000ft).
What happened?
According to Malaysia Airlines, the plane departed Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport at 10:15 GMT (12:15 local time) on 17 July and was due to arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 22:10 GMT (06:10 local time).
The airline lost contact four hours later at 14:15 GMT - 50km from the Russia-Ukraine border.
Footage later emerged of the crash site in territory controlled by pro-Russian separatists, and witnesses spoke of dozens of bodies on the ground.

What caused the crash?
The two sides in Ukraine's civil conflict have accused each other of shooting down the jet with a missile.
However, US Secretary of State John Kerry has said there is overwhelming evidence of Russian complicity in the incident, which took place above an area controlled by pro-Russian rebels. Russia denies the claims.
Mr Kerry said the US had seen major military supplies moving into Ukraine from Russia in the last month including a convoy of armoured personnel carriers, tanks and rocket launchers.
Intercepted calls suggested a Russian SA-11 missile system - also known as BUK - had been transferred to the rebels, he added, and the US had seen a video of a launcher being moved back into Russia after flight MH17 crashed.
Ukrainian authorities earlier released a recording they claimed was a conversation between pro-Russian militants admitting to shooting down the plane.
However, separatist leader Alexander Borodai accused the Ukrainian government of attacking the airliner itself.
Experts say flight crash investigators should be able to determine what caused the crash from traces left on the debris.

the 48 hours running up to the MH17 crash, many airlines had chosen to keep flying in the area, data from flight tracker Planefinder shows.

According to Flight radar24, which also monitors live flight paths, the airlines that most frequently flew over Donetsk in the last week were: Aeroflot (86 flights), Singapore Airlines (75), Ukraine International Airlines (62), Lufthansa (56), and Malaysia Airlines (48).
At the time of the MH17 crash on 17 July, a number of other flights were in the area.

MH17 plane crash: Dutch reach bodies in east Ukraine.

Dutch investigators have arrived in Torez in Ukraine, where the remains of victims of the Malaysia Airlines plane crash are being stored.
The three forensic scientists are aiming to start work on identifying the 196 bodies kept there on a train.
Pressure is growing on pro-Russian rebels to allow experts to the crash site some 15km (9 miles) away.
The US and other nations say there is growing evidence of Russian complicity in the downing of the plane last week.
All 298 people on flight MH17 died when it was reportedly hit by a missile.
Russia has been accused of providing the rebels with an anti-aircraft system that was allegedly used in the attack on 17 June. It denies the allegations.

Scammers exploit MH17 victims on Facebook
The Malaysia Airlines tragedy is again proving disaster brings out the best and worst of human nature, with scammers now attempting to use it as a way to make money.
The consumer watchdog has issued a warning through its SCAMwatch website about criminals trying to cash in on the MH17 tragedy.
The SCAMwatch warning, issued this afternoon, says scammers are setting up fake Facebook pages in the name of victims from flight MH17.
The Facebook pages direct people to a blog that says it has information on flight MH17, and when the user clicks on the link to the blog they are subject to a series of pop-up advertisements.
If the user clicks on the advertisement, scammers then make money from the 'click-through' by driving potential customers to a business's website.

Sky News apologises:MH17

MH17: Sky News apologises after presenter rummaged through luggage of Malaysia Airlines flight.

British broadcaster Sky News has apologised after one of its presenters searched through luggage at the crash site of downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 live on air.
The presenter was reporting from the eastern Ukraine crash site of the MH17, which was shot down over rebel-held territory on Thursday, killing all 298 people on board,
In a news broadcast on Sunday, presenter Colin Brazier was shown rooting through personal belongings in an opened suitcase at the site, picking up a set of keys before saying, "we shouldn't really be doing this".
The footage sparked outrage on social media, including calls for Mr Brazier to be sacked.

Malaysia Airlines retires MH17

MH17: Malaysia Airlines retires flight number after Ukraine crash.

Malaysia Airlines will be no longer use the MH17 flight code for its Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur service after last week's crash.
The airline made a similar decision this year when it retired the MH370 code after the disappearance of its Kuala Lumpur to Beijing flight.
Malaysia Airlines says it will continue daily flights between Kuala Lumpur and Amsterdam with the new code MH19.
"In light of the recent incident, [the] ... MH17 flight number will be retired out of respect for our crew and passengers of the mentioned flight code. This will take effect on 25 July, 2014," it said in a statement.
