GERMANY HAVE THE PLAN TO WIN WORLD CUP::

GERMANY HAVE THE PLAN TO WIN WORLD CUP::

The Germany camp insist they have a plan. They have sat down to discuss the threat of Lionel Messi and come up with a way to try to stop him. So what will it be? And more to the point from Argentina’s perspective, how will Alejandro Sabella’s team make sure their little maestro influences the game in the areas they want?
On the first point, I think we can safely discount man-marking. Nigel de Jong, admittedly, did it effectively for Holland until chronic fatigue forced a withdrawal. Louis van Gaal could therefore claim justification for going out of his way to shackle Messi.
But it is different for Germany. For a start, Joachim Löw does not boast a player quite like De Jong, someone ideally suited to this specific role.
Yes, he could ask, say, Sami Khedira to follow Messi around but that would severely detract from the midfielder’s game. Khedira has far too many attacking qualities to restrict him this way. Bastian Schweinsteiger is a slightly different matter but, again, I cannot see him being tied to this one-dimensional role.

NEWS ON WHITNEY HUSTON''THE MOVIE

ACTRESS ANGELA BASSETT DIRECTING WHITNEY HOUSTON - THE MOVIE

Lifetime is making the movie "Whitney Houston", directed by actress Angela Bassett, based on late Houston's real life.

TV Network Lifetime has announced their plans of making a movie based on the real life events of singer ‘Whitney Houston’. The movie would focus on the singer’s professional and personal life.

The movie is titled simply “Whitney Houston” and the movie is set to release in 2015. The film will be directed by Houston’s 1995 'Waiting To Exhale' co-star, Angela Bassett for whom this would be a directorial debut.

“I have such regard for both Whitney’s and Bobby’s amazing talents and accomplishments, and I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story,” said Bassett.“Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I’m beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world.”

Throughout it all, difficulties followed the superstar couple while they dealt with the overwhelming rewards and consequences of the fame and fortune created by Whitney’s meteoric rise that would soon overshadow them both,” added Lifetime.

Lifetime has not revealed the cast of the movie yet.

MIGRANTS FLEE FROM THAILAND

OVER 150,000 CAMBODIAN MIGRANTS FLEE FROM THAILAND

Thousands of illegal migrant workers flee from Thailand due to fear of prosecution.

Thousands of Cambodian migrants have fled from Thailand due to fear of prosecution as military junta threatened that they would crack down on undocumented laborers.

About 150,000 have already crossed the border so far with an estimate of 10,000 migrants leaving Thailand every day, said Joe Lowry, spokesman for the International Organization for Migration. The number of migrants could be close to 200,000 if they include people departing in private transport and cars, he said. "People are in cramped area, in crowds of 3,000 to 4,000," Lowry said. "It makes for an uneasy situation."

Cambodian and Thai officials met Tuesday to discuss the issue, reported CNN.

Several migrants have reportedly been fired from jobs and sent home since the army took power in a coup last month.

There were also reports of migrants being beaten up but authorities have denied these rumors. People are terrified of what might happen if they stayed so migrants are even ready to leave Thailand in the most uncomfortable travel options.

The IOM said hundreds of trucks, buses and trains were being used to take the workers back to their hometowns. "The overwhelming priority is to secure enough large vehicles to prevent people being stuck here for a long time in less than ideal conditions," said the IOM's Brett Dickson in the border town of Poi Pet. "Many of these people are severely economically disadvantaged and have spent all their savings, if they had any, to get this far”, he adds.

It is also reported that Cambodia and Thailand have set up a hotline to handle the return of undocumented workers, but we don’t know for sure how effective this plan is and has it benefited the migrants. Thailand military has taken control over the illegal migrants situation since May.

UK, RAC. CRACKDOWN

RAC urges government crackdown on untaxed  foreign vehicles

cars
The government is being urged to clamp down on untaxed foreign vehicles after the RAC warned they were costing the UK millions of pounds a year.
About 60,000 foreign vehicles are registered with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) every year.
However, the RAC said an estimated 15,000 others are not - the motoring organisation said this amounts to about £3m per year in uncollected tax.

NEWS 'BRAZIL OUT OF WORLD CUP

World Cup 2014: Netherlands beat Brazil 3-0 to claim third place in play-off

Brazil ended its home World Cup to a cacophony of boos on Sunday morning as the defensive errors that crushed its bid for a sixth title resurfaced in a shoddy 3-0 loss to the Netherlands in the third-place playoff match.
Central defenders Thiago Silva and David Luiz were guilty of early mistakes as the Dutch scored twice in 16 minutes, sparking fears of a repeat of the 7-1 humiliation suffered in their record World Cup loss to Germany in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
That defeat was Brazil's first competitive loss at home in 39 years and brought about calls for widespread changes, with coach Luiz Felipe Scolari greeted with heavy boos when his name was read out before the kickoff in Brasilia.
"I don't think we deserved for it to end like this," captain Thiago Silva said in a televised interview.
"We need to apologise to the fans, they booed us at the end, which is normal, they have feelings too. It's very tough."
We need to apologise to the fans, they booed us at the end, which is normal, they have feelings too. It's very tough.

Scolari made six changes to his team to face the Netherlands in a bid to restore some pride after Tuesday's embarrassment but it was returning captain Thiago Silva, his loyal captain, who was to blame for the opening goal in the third minute.
The defender was fortunate to only receive a yellow card from Algerian referee Djamel Haimoudi for pulling back winger Arjen Robben who was put through on goal after 90 seconds.
The Brazil skipper was clearly the last man, although the offence appeared to occur just outside the penalty area.
With the home fans watching in disbelief, van Persie stepped up to smash in the penalty as the home fans in the stadium and throughout the Brazilian capital fell into near silence.
They found their negative voices shortly after as Thiago Silva's defensive partner Luiz sent a header under no pressure to Daley Blind, who had time to take two touches near the penalty spot before firing home in the 16th minute.
It was the ninth goal Brazil had conceded in 95 traumatic minutes and the anger again came pouring down from the terraces, with boos ringing out as the once proud hosts were left embarrassed by the shambolic efforts of the beloved Selecao.
We are all very sad, the people are very sad, but we tried and we tried till the end.
Brazil midfielder Oscar
Scolari made changes at the interval as Brazil tried to find a way back into the game but it only found more misery as Oscar became the first player to be booked for diving at the tournament after trying to win a penalty with 20 minutes left.
The hosts did enjoy greater possession in the second period but the Dutch always threatened on the break and they completed the rout in stoppage time when Georginio Wijnaldum was left unmarked to turn in Daryl Janmaat's cross.
Midfielder Oscar looked totally deflated after the defeat, which came just four days after Brazil were crushed 7-1 by Germany in the semi-finals.
"What can you say. We came here hoping to win third place but we didn't, it wasn't our day," Oscar said. "We lost, there's nothing to say.
"We lost a goal in two, three minutes and we were chasing the game.
"We are all very sad, the people are very sad, but we tried and we tried till the end."
