F16 Jets Escort Plane After Passenger 'Threat'.
A plane bound for Panama City was escorted by two US fighter jets back to Toronto, Canada, after a passenger allegedly threatened to blow up the jet.
The aircraft, carrying 189 people, turned around over West Virginia about 45 minutes into the flight as the F16s were dispatched.
Once Sunwing Airlines flight 772, with 183 passengers and six crew on board, landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport, armed police went on to the airliner and removed the suspect.
Officers have charged Canadian man Ali Shahi, 25, with uttering threats and endangering the safety of an aircraft.
Witness Sharon Ramsay said it was a frightening scene on board the plane.

Doctors at a US hospital are accused of amputating a man's penis during what was supposed to be a routine circumcision.
Johnny Lee Banks, of Birmingham, Alabama, and his wife sued the facility for medical malpractice on Tuesday, seeking an unspecified amount.
The lawsuit says Banks came round from an operation to remove his foreskin at Princeton Baptist Medical Center last month, only to find his manhood had been removed.
The claim says he has experienced intense pain as a result, and that his wife, Zelda Banks, is also suffering.

A United States Marine veteran says he was forgotten and locked inside a central Florida community clinic operated by the Veterans Administration for hours.
Jeffrey Duck told a television station he was a "walk in" patient at the clinic when he arrived at about 1 p.m. Monday. He said he sat for more than three hours in a consultation room before he realized he was alone in the building.

It is the same cave man response as the fight or flight instinct. It is triggered by the same subconscious driven need to find food to store for the winter and all the basic survival instincts that mankind arrived with. Back to the mother who has suddenly acquired large breasts that are engorged with milk to feed her newborn... the very first significant comfort a newborn responds to instinctively.
It triggers the same sense of fulfillment, satisfaction and complete acceptance of being loved and nurtured that we instinctively seek as newborns. We are all driven to find this sense of fulfillment in many ways; but for most men, there is an instant gratification of fulfilling this need when large bare breasts are exposed to their senses! Like their cave man predecessors, they simply must follow the dream of conquering and dragging the prize back to their cave to devour, even if only in their dreams.

Fighters from the extremist Islamic State group, formerly known as ISIS, say they have killed at least 50 soldiers and in north-eastern Syria.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the fighters had taken a military base near Raqqa.
The city is already a stronghold of Islamic State, which has advanced in Syria and taken over swaths of territory in neighbouring Iraq in what it has described as a bid to establish an Islamic caliphate.
A Twitter account linked to Islamic State published pictures of the beheaded corpses and heads of five soldiers killed in Raqqa province, saying they belonged to the army's 17th division.

Ebola outbreak: Nigeria's health minister says man from Liberia dies from virus on trip to Lagos.
Nigeria's health minister claims a Liberian man who died in the commercial capital of Lagos has tested positive for the deadly Ebola virus.
If confirmed, the man would be the first case on record of one of the world's deadliest diseases in Nigeria, Africa's biggest economy, and with 170 million people, its most populous country.
Ebola has killed 660 people across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone since it was first diagnosed in February.
The victim, named as Patrick Sawyer, a consultant in his 40s who worked for the Liberian finance ministry, collapsed on Sunday after flying into Lagos and was taken from the airport and put in isolation in a local hospital.
Nigeria's health minister Onyebuchi Chukwu announced Mr Sawyer had died on Friday.
"His blood sample was taken to the advance laboratory at the Lagos university teaching hospital, which confirmed the diagnosis of the Ebola virus disease in the patient

A car bomb has killed at least two people and injured 36 outside a hotel in southern Thailand, police say.
This is the latest deadly attack in the area that has been plagued by separatist violence for the past decade.
Thailand is predominantly Buddhist but parts of the south, in particular the three provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat, are majority Muslim and resistance to central government rule has existed in the regions for decades.
Police say the bomb was left in a vehicle about 50 metres from a hotel in the town of Betong, which is popular with tourists from nearby Malaysia.
At least one of the injured was Malaysian.
