Former LA Galaxy footballer David Beckham and his sons are covered by gold slime at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
David Beckham and two of his sons, Romeo and Cruz, have been sprayed with gold goo at the inaugural Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards.
The 39-year old footballer was accepting the Legend Award during the ceremony alongside his sons when two powerful jets of slime exploded from the floor.
The former LA Galaxy player took the soaking in good spirits, laughing and smiling with Romeo and Cruz.
The award came after teenagers voted for a winner among a star-studded list of nominees in Los Angeles.
The Legend Award singled out athletes who are popular with youngsters, but not necessarily for their sporting achievements.
Other winners at the event on Thursday night included basketballer Kevin Durant and tennis player Serena Williams.
